Unlike the last time Glen Phillips came through town, we found out a couple weeks early this time that he was playing the Aladdin Theater on June 8. Chris will unfortunately miss the show, as he'll be in Taiwan, but I convinced a friend to go with me.
We got his new album, "Mr. Lemons," when it came out last month, and at first we weren't sure if we liked it. It's very different from his last album (much quieter, more acoustic), so that threw us off. But I did what I always do when I'm on the fence about a new album - I put it on "repeat" and listened to it until I make up my mind. In this case, I've decided I love it. And I'm really looking forward to the show.
