Flat Surfaces = Bad

Flat surfaces are the bane of my existence. I cannot manage to keep them clean. No matter what. Whenever I walk into my house I'm carrying something. And when I get to a flat surface, I put the something down. Eventually, the somethings pile up. Sure, we go through the house and have our cleaning days, get everything either put back where it needs to go or thrown out because we don't know where in the hell to put it, but still. I think the only solution would be slanted countertops.
